A tarot inspired poem on choosing love and being tied in every lifetime

We Are Lovers Audio
Read by Nuna
I find it quite interesting
that we deeply crave to be in relationships
but when we’re in them
we seem to use our past pain and traumas
as a compass to navigate the experiences
We want so badly to taste the heart of another lover
like freshly picked berries
gripped by the tip of teeth taunted by starvation
yet compare it to the rot of Thanksgiving Dinners
left sitting and spoiled
because the souls that once gathered at the dinner table
can’t seem to find their way back to the dining room
How many altars have you set up
with my pictures laid across them?
Do you ever find yourself laying love notes
and my favorite peonies upon them
like they’re the last of offerings
that will lead you back between me?
Do you set intentions for my safety?
Or do you reject the memories of us
laying our sins and burdens on gods lap
because you’re ashamed of everything we’ve been?
Has regret made you forget
that we are tied in every lifetime?
That when our bodies die
our souls search for each other in the new faces we meet
We sometimes spend years
trying to convince ourselves
that we’re happy in our choosings
But when the smiles fade and flee the room
we’re left itching and aching to find the missing link
— the medicine to the heartache
It’s why I spend my time tending to the tired parts of me
I promised God that I would wait for you in every lifetime
That I would pick my flesh apart
until the only thing left showing
was the revelation of our happenings
I know a thing or three about losing who
and what you believe belongs to you
But even when you’re certain
death won’t take long to prove otherwise
Sometimes love is the quickening
that leads us back into devotion
For as long as we remain devoted to ourselves
we will always be one as lovers
and find our way back
to one another

My calling doesn’t begin or end with writing. In fact, it begins in the quiet hours pregnant with inspiration and sparks of eternal light. It begins with the movement of spirit wading within the spaces untouched by hands hindered by sins who reach for salvation like it’s the last drink of wine they’ll ever drown in. The moment my intuition sways like sacred hips tranced in invocation, I surrender. My body becomes the altar. There are moments I am guided through the magickal process — and there are moments I merge as one with The Great Mother. Once merged, magickal essentials, spoken word poems, and written pieces are born.
Each silkened oil, pack of incense, fixed candle, and ritual tool is crafted and blissed to enrich your daily acts of devotion. They are intentionally crafted by hand, blessed by bloodline, and charged by the moon to ensure potent power that aligns with your intentions. These essentials are meant to help you transcend beyond suffering, manifest, and expand your consciousness. The word is breath in motion, the essential is the body grounded in ritual. They are only meant to serve your highest best as you journey your path of remembrance.
